An interactive playscape that lets kids build, reach and create will return to the Schiele Museum this summer.
“Block Party was a big fan favorite in 2019, so we had to bring it back,” said Tony Pasour, head of interpretation at the museum.
On Saturday, June 4, the Schiele Museum, located at 500 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, will host Block Party 2.0, sponsored by PNC Bank.
“As a longtime supporter of The Schiele and its educational programs for young children, all of us at PNC are thrilled to help bring this unique learning experience to The Schiele,” said Weston Andress, Regional Chairman. of PNC for the Western Carolinas.
“Block Party 2.0 reaches the Schiele’s youngest visitors and offers families a constructive way to spend time together,” he added.
The Block Party promotes cognitive and social development. Children will have access to thousands of building blocks and connectors of all shapes and sizes.
“This interactive exhibit is open for hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) learning, and I think kids and their families will really enjoy this experience,” said said Pasour.
Those interested in attending the annual event can do so by purchasing tickets online or at the museum. The Block Party will be included with the purchase of an admission ticket.
