The Flavel House Museum is Hosting a Free Weekend of Old-Fashioned Games and Fun May 14-15 | Community

The Flavel House Museum is hosting a free “Old Fashioned Fun & Games” event for the whole family on the lawn of the Flavel House Museum on Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.

Looking for a way to get kids outside and away from TV and computer games. Then, take the family to the Flavel House Museum lawn on Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15, between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day to enjoy old-fashioned games and fun. There will be badminton and croquet as well as contests such as pie races and sack races. There will be prizes for children. Children will enjoy testing their skills with hoop and stick, ball and cup, stilts or rope making.

So come grab a corn dog (yes, they had that back then too.) and lemonade while the kids learn how Victorian kids had fun.

This event made possible by our friends at the Columbia Memorial Hospital Pediatric Clinic
