QBWA Celebrates Qatar National Day at Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Museum

The Qatar Businesswomen’s Association (QBWA) held a special celebration on the occasion of Qatar’s National Day on Wednesday.
The event was celebrated at the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum under the slogan of this year’s National Day – “The land of the ancestors… is a trust”, as it is considered an important Qatari cultural monument.

A visit to the museum

The museum seeks to bring people of all ages from the local community closer to their past and culture and to revive their memory with the skills and wisdom of their ancestors, as well as the struggles and conditions they faced and experienced.
The slogan expresses the intimate connection of the Qataris with their environment since ancient times, during which they were brought up and affected by its characteristics, so they coexisted with nature, whether on land or at sea until ‘it is an important and influential element in strengthening their identity.

QBWA members were keen to celebrate the National Day in a distinct way as it marks the day when the State of Qatar recalls how it has managed to achieve national unity and become a distinguished country. It is also the day of testimonies of love, pride and gratitude to the great people of the State of Qatar who participated in solidarity and development, and swore to advance on the path of their ancestors, the people of dignity, science, and religious.
Aisha Alfardan, vice-president of the AQBQ, declared: “It is a pleasure that we celebrate the national day together. As we approach the new year, the year that is unlike any other, the year that the whole world is waiting for and we are waiting for as a wish that we see come true day by day and that we are all passionate about. while waiting for the kick off of the 2022 World Cup whistle – the whistle that will sound for the first time in the Arab world and the Middle East.
Alfardan added: “On this occasion, allow me, on behalf of my sisters of the QBWA, to extend my sincere congratulations and blessings to His Highness Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and His Highness Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, and His Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser, may God preserve and protect them, and keep them safe for this country. “
His speech included the state’s efforts to preserve the environment, such as the implementation of the first carbon-neutral tournament in the history of the FIFA World Cup. This will leave a tangible legacy in projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment. She also thanked the president of the Qatar Businessmen’s Association, Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani, for arranging a visit to her museum. Sheikh Faisal, who also joined the event, said the museum has significant cultural value.
During the event, QBWA members discussed the importance of the role of women in the development of society as a whole, as well as their role as businesswomen and the need to s ” engage in various fields and help women meet challenges.
