HealthWorks! The Kids’ Museum St. Louis came about as a result of efforts to expand the Delta Dental Health Theater to address broader general health issues after Delta Dental of Missouri became a major sponsor in 2004. These plans have evolved and become more ambitious over the years. several years later, which ultimately led to the closure of the original theater on Laclede’s Landing in downtown St. Louis after 38 years so that it could be housed in the new, greatly expanded museum. The Delta Dental Health Theater was originally organized as a program under the Greater St. Louis Dental Society Foundation in 1977. In 2002, it was incorporated as an independent 501(c) (3 ).
