Party in the Park returns to the Mint Museum – WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE — The Currency Museum’s series of outdoor family events is back. The second annual Party in the Park series kicks off Sunday at the Mint Museum Randolph and runs from 1-5 p.m. on the last Sunday of each month through November.

Admission is free and each month there will be live music, food trucks and a cash bar on the lawn as well as free admission to the museum.

This year, event organizers have added themed programming each month with captivating experiences related to the museum’s art collection and special exhibitions.

Upcoming programming includes:

– March 27: Celebrate Women’s History Month with a self-guided tour of The World of Anna Sui exhibit and watch artists paint live on the lawn.

– April 24: Learn fun facts about the first United States Mint branch before it became an art museum and design your own mint in honor of Financial Literacy Month.

– May 29: Relieve stress with a soothing slow gaze exercise through the museum galleries and try a mindfulness drawing activity in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month.
