A Spooktacular Saturday at the Roberson Museum and Science Center

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) – The Roberson Museum and Science Center is hosting an event to get you into the Halloween spirit.

Families are invited to attend Roberson’s Family Halloween Spooktacular Saturday. Director of Education Christina Mack said this event is open to children of all ages and costumes are encouraged!

“This is a very family-friendly event, we strongly suggest that you come in your best costumes to deceive or spoil throughout the establishment,” Mack said. “We have candy stations set up throughout the building, so while you are visiting the museum and looking at the exhibits, you are also collecting candy.

Mack said that in addition to the candy, there will be three different Halloween-themed stations.

“One station is our crazy science lab with hands-on STEM activities, another is our witchcraft craft which is Halloween-themed paper crafts, and finally our spooky STEM challenges where kids will be tasked with building, d ‘Evaluate and remodel different constructions that will be donated on the day of,’ Mack said.

The Family Halloween Spooktacular will take place on October 30 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Planetarium shows will also be available for purchase at the admission desk.

“Over the summer we’ve actually upgraded our entire planetarium system in hardware and software, so it’s going to be better than ever this year,” Mack said. “We will be offering these shows every hour from 11:30 am for the duration of the event.”

Admission is $ 8 for adults; $ 6 for students, seniors and military and free for children under 4 and members.

Masks are mandatory.
